$20 more = win. Just tell the other guy you really need the money-- which is true. You're not screwing anyone over here. It seems like I've already given you this advice recently.
If you were the first guy how would you feel if it happened to you? If you would understand, go ahead and sell it to the second one, if you wouldn't stick to the original plan. I think that this is one of those where the "right" answer is personal
Take the larger $. Unless this other buyer has gone out of his way already (he hasn't), you don't owe him. It's a casual craigslist sale, he'll understand.
If it was me, I'd tell the guy offering $50 that he had until the end of the day to come get the fridge. If he does, it's his. Otherwise, you're gonna relist, cause you need the $.
I'd say just take the larger $, but a.) I'd feel bad about doing that, too; and b.) keep in mind a lot of Craigs buyers flake out, so a sure-thing $50 is a lot better than a possible $70.
You should definitely give him a time limit. Tell the $50 guy that he'd better pick it up by the end of the day or you'll give it to someone else who is willing to pay you $20 more.
I would hardly say that you're being a bad person or screwing someone over by selling an item to someone who offers you the full asking price rather than $20 less. As others have suggested, I'd tell the first person that someone has offered you more money for the fridge and that you'll make the sale to the second person unless the first person can pick it up by a specific date and time. As long as you don't need the $50 right away, it makes sense to sell to someone who's willing to pay more.
