"Suddenly I yearn of parties, bands, friends, useless nights out wandering the streets. I remember when that stopped being cool, but that doesn't mean I don't want it still."
If you like, I can invite you and the missus to the next game party I throw. I find they're a nice compromise between loud, obnoxious drunken parties and small, horribly yuppie dinner parties. I hope to have three or four games running at once at the next one, and invitees are vigourously encouraged to bring their favourite card and board games. I don't have a guest list, yet, so you can suggest people, as well.
Is your house not fit for guests yet? Because it's not exactly the ends of the earth, especially for us growed-up types who drive. And there's no reason why people can't still meet up at bars or restaurents for social gatherings. If we plan it well in advance, those of us with more restricted incomes will have time to save up, so we can go somewhere a bit nicer (that will hopefully not have awful live music). Much as I hate Assbook, it's useful for stuff like that.
Her nights and my nights are often not matched. Though I'll see about coming out one of these times.
I've been dying to have people over. Plans for parties, dinners, games, and other events are on hold until I get the washroom made. I'm pretty close to downtown, so it shouldn't be a big deal for most.
