Everyone has worth. I doubt you can see the grand spectrum of time in the cosmos laid out before you like a big lovely tablecloth, but I do. I see everything, and everyone, and how they interweave, and having lived for fourteen hundred years, I can safely say I've never met anyone who wasn't important. Call it the butterfly effect, but it's true.

I'm sorry, but if you'd like to simply stay here and rot, then by all means, do so.

Ah of course, should have known you would be one of those “magical” people or whatever. I guess my 20 short and pointless years are nothing against how long you’ve been cursed to live, but I’ve chosen not to lie to people. It's not fair to give these poor people any more false hope, if they want to believe in your shiny words they can.

Normally I'd agree. Usually the people who make the big speeches about glory and stuff are the ones leading from the back. But... if he's right, and we ignore him, we're screwed. I may not remember the last four or five years, but whatever happened, I don't think it'd be enough that I could sit back and watch the whole thing go to hell.
