Are you guys familiar with the author of GaijinSmash.net? I know derfremd is, at least (where are you?? drop me a line!!). Anyway, this guy is a Japanese school teacher like me (meaning that he came here on the JET program), and I've been reading about his exploits since I was a wee undergrad. In fact, you could say that part of the reason I became ( Read more... )

I know of the term Gaijin Smash (we use it and it's varieties to describe stupid things Gaijin do over here at KGU), but this page is new to me. You bet I'll be reading it all night now. Damnit. >_<

So, even though I don't even know if we have anything in common other than LJ, would you still like to meet up sometime for Japanese Starbucks or some other concoction? I'm not too far from Kyoto (I live off the Keihan line), and I'd like to become more farmiliar with the city; I mostly go the other way to Osaka on the weekends.

Lemme know. ^_^ :D

See, you moved to Japan and get to met quasi-famous internet people, and all I get to do is sit at the library all day and listen to people say things like; "So, are the books arranged by the authors first name, or is it by title?"

Also, I bought X-men legends II (for PS2) and I sit alone in my apartment yelling "Will of the Goddess!!!" and "Ha-ha! More Power!" I lead a sad, sad life.

Yeah, but I get 8th graders riding by on their bikes screaming "PUSSY PUSSY PUSSAY" at me.

I wish I could play XML...I don't even have a TV yet! But even if I did, I wouldn't have anyone to play with. They just don't understand! =(
