i came to work dressed in my halloween nines this morning. i was a bit worried when i didn't see anyone wearing their costumes as i walked from the parking lot. i comforted myself by thinking that maybe they were in a different department. then i saw my labmates and no one else is dressed up except for me! :( this is one of my biggest fears.

i went as a cute witch. i guess it could be a harajuku style witch because there's a petticoat and little hat. hopefully there will be pictures up soon!

i can't wait to wear it again to take my nephew trick-or-treating tomorrow. i hope he loves it. my sister is camera-happy so i will definitely have pictures. :D

OT, i finally got some burt's bees lip balm but not the right one. i got the "replenish" one because it had a red cap and it said "NEW" on the container. it doesn't have clove oil in it but it does have pomegranate oil. i thought that maybe you were crazy and you meant this one but i just looked it up on the internet and you were right. i am going to have a seizure if i don't get the medicated one soon. i love this one though, my lips are always chapped and peeling but they became so soft and supple even after the first application. i have the lip shimmers but the replenish one works so much better. anyway, i think about this way too much because i'm in whole foods several times a week. i don't think i'll be able to stop until i get the right one!

I second lecontact's question. Also, in cases like these, all you have to do is walk confidently and be like "wut? I'm fabulous." when people stare.

lol, i did that at first until it was time to do business. then i changed into regular clothes and then back into my costume after. i went as a witch. :)

i was seriously the only one dressed up this morning but then everyone changed for the lunch time activities. i also had a change of clothes so it was all good. :)

cdc's department of laboratory sciences had their first annual chili cookoff and costume contest today! i guess they had it today instead of tomorrow because that was when the EPA was supposed to do their walk through. they cancelled it last minute though.
