"Well isn't that special..." (the Church Lady)

I was thinking in church today. With my eyes open i see everyone standing around and...through eyes that are even mostly blind to my own hypocracy, and my own unworthiness to be counted as part of the Church (a.k.a. the BODY OF JESUS CHRIST!!!), it's easy not to see this gathering as something special. It looks too...typical. it looks too...flesh

i always close my eyes when i worship. i shut out the worship leader, the choir, the person next to me and the family in front of me. all i see is black and my hearing hightens to take over. though the man behind me is singing two notes too sharp, I can see God's goodness. He loves even the worst of singing when it brings glory to him. when i close my eyes and everything else is gone, the only thing left is me, God and the singing of unworthy, yet devoted saints. its a beautiful thing and im glad you agree. its a close encounter of the God-kind ;-) (don't you love cheese?)
