Not as good as last year. Fewer people (presumably because it was mid-week) = less noise = no atmosphere. There was also the fact that we started earlier when it was still light outside, which kinda ruined the effect of Jamie's whirly-flashy things for the first bands. There were good points though - Incoherent were better than last year, LCD ( Read more... )

I kinda agree, I mean if they lost Sam completely I think they'd be so much better... But now tomorrow will be crap cos everyone will be bitching about how it was a farce and whatnot...

If they were going to drop someone I'd suggest George. Ali's a good lead player and Sam is good enough at rhythm for the sort of metal they do (i.e without any real rhythm guitar :D). George doesn't know which one he's doing, and ends up not doing either that well. And he's not entertaining, unlike Sam. I reckon if they:

-dropped George (or made him just play rhythm and not let Sam play at all)
-made Sam the sole frontman/singer
-took Mike's double bass pedals away until he can keep time on a standard kit
-spent six months playing nothing but funk covers to get the rhythm section tight,

then they'd be pretty good. Also, dynamics other than loud, very loud and fucking loud might help.
