it's final days they think. like within the next 24 hrs they'll let us know if they think my mom has days left or weeks left. which is an odd thing to root for but i want those weeks. tho not if my mom is just drifting in and out of pain and consciousness. i guess i want those weeks if we can get mom back for a few of those days where she can clean

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. It sounds really rough. I watched Dear Evan Hansen tonight and cried multiple times just from the feels of a mom's love/frustration/desperation. (You should see it if you haven't yet. I can send you a link to a bootleg Youtube video.) I also fought with my mom last night because she kept ragging on my efforts to try to lose weight and it devolved into words about how she's never been supportive and how she's tired of my failures. Despite all that, I love her dearly and I'm deathly afraid of her catching Covid from one of her thrice-weekly dialysis sessions. So idk. Your post hits home. Hugs from the Philippines.
