Don't give up hope, Tieria. It's okay to be sad.

Clarify "esper" further.

It's as I said. I don't have any sort of general mind-reading powers, but I can get a sense of her moods most of the time. And another peculiar thing about Suzumiya-san is that when she becomes upset, she creates dangerous patches of alternate space that must be destroyed, or else they will spread and rewrite the entire world. I and my colleagues are the ones with the ability to destroy these spaces.

Are you saying that she could accidentally replace the world with this dangerous alternate space at any time?

Of course it's accidental. She doesn't know she can do it.

Not at any time, however. Only when she becomes massively upset, and as I said, that's what I'm here to prevent.

What happened six weeks ago, then? When. When.

...you know what I mean.

I got about three hours of sleep a night for a week or so. But we managed.

And how do you manage? How do you deal with this alternate space?

The alternate space takes the form of the real world, with the exception that manifestations of her anger that we call shinjin roam around, destroying the area. The way to destroy the alternate space is to physically destroy the manifestations, which only espers have the power to do.

Of course, it's much easier to deal with the alternate space by trying to prevent her mood from becoming that dark, which is why I was so willing to stop pushing you in that other thread. It was more to prevent her from becoming upset than anything else.

I suppose that explains why you are always so compliant with her wishes.

Does this phenomenon only manifest on your world? Or can it spread? How far do her powers reach?

From what I've observed, although her power to alter reality has a wide reach depending on where she is, the alternate space she creates manifests only on our world.

I wouldn't worry about her reality-altering powers, though. Those tend to manifest positively, whereas the negative energy confines itself to creating closed space, which as I said, is limited to our particular dimension.

One could argue that the ability to alter the true course of reality is never positive.

Perhaps she herself is an instrument to uncover the true course of reality. But that's getting a little metaphysical. In any case, there are several very positive things she's brought about.

She... I suppose you could call it fixing. She fixed whatever was wrong with Donna that required the Doctor to erase her memories, for one thing.

...Does it change anything? Knowing what she is, I mean.

You'll have to be more specific. It changes some things, of course.
