As a child I would have a hissy-fit if my mom sang, we didn't have a car. As I got older I grew to love singing with her. Mom got Alzheimer's, and we would go for walks and we would sing songs from her childhood, and from the second world war, but by then she no longer remembered the words and would la-la-la along with me and I remembered doing the same when I was a very young child. What goes around comes around.

Great post, it touches your readers deeply.
