Hi hon :)

I haven't been on LJ in ages - Malu mentioned your posts this morning so I've jumped on! It's great having someone over there to investigate all the urban myths for us; I say myths but they're sadly true (like the corn syrup and portion sizes). I am soooo jealous about the store with pants. My ass is disproportionately big compared to my waist (or maybe it's just that I have a bum instead of being an ironing board) and the pants that fit my bum are far too big at the waist. Maybe I'm a triangle! Crossing my fingers and toes now hoping that maybe we'll get such sensible shopping over here.

So none of the Caltech guys were Bug Bang like? They don't have a time machine in the middle of their lounge and thousands of dollars worth of comic books? Darn. If you find any extra cute ones bring them home with you :P We need more genius men down under!

Hey :)

I've been meaning to email you and let you know about my posts, but I haven't had internet access for the last few days - computer malfunction.
I've been thinking of you during these shopping trips - you'd love it! It's so easy to find clothes that fit, even shoes. If you were here, we'd find you knee-high boots too :)
Plus, all these stores let you shop online. You need a contact inside the US to have the clothes shipped to, though.
And no, none of the Caltech guys I've seen so far were like on tv. Also, none of them were particularly cute either :(

Actually,if you want I could pick up a pair of the triangle type pants for you. The sizing is basically the same as in NZ - a 16 here is a 16 there. You could try them, and if they fit you're sorted for pants for life! If not, we can send them back for a refund in 60 days (or live with US$30 less for the sake of an experiment). They do jeans, trousers and dress pants. Jeans are usually $50 and dress pants are $30, but they have sales as well.
