Apparently there's this series of sketches called Level One, which is, as far as I can tell, surrealistic French humor based on video games. I was about to go to bed, but to calm my brain down beforehand I scrolled through my games folder, thinking "I should play a game of something before I go to bed. But of what?" And then I went into Treasure Hunters flashbacks.

Fictional organizations should have mottos. Particularly in a verbal medium (And hey, roleplaying qualifies), since you're creating an icon that's in the medium you're transmitting the work across. I've heard some good things about Europa Universalis II, and when I saw I could pick up a legit copy for $20, which is about my price threshold for a good game, I went for it. The basic idea is something like Civilization, but more tied to real history during some subset of 1419-1820, with dozens to hundreds of countries around, high diplomacy, etc ( Read more... )

So I'm on the mailing list for Icehouse, pretty pyramids that people play games with. And right now, they're sold in two color sets, red/yellow/blue/green/black and orange/purple/cyan/white/clear.
