For Loki's childhood on Asgard, in a way, he was forced to grow up since he was a young child due to lack of having his parents do things for him that a child his age would have difficulties for, while Thor who didn't need all that help cause he was old enough to do things on his own was still being babied far too much, which lead to Loki becoming far more mature than a child should be and Thor acting like an overgrown child as an adult

I've enjoyed "Loki is actually not yet an adult" stories in the past, but I have not found any that actually describe what it was like for Loki to adapt to these new circumstances. As a result, I really hope this is filled!
Freedom From Asgard

Instead of taking the throne, instead, when Loki faked his death he went straight to earth and went to some other country with him changing his his looks as a way of signifying his freedom from Asgard. What he does first in changing his look is by going from dressing in leathers and suits to dressing in casual clothes with more than just his colors and black but with more color in his wardrobe. The next thing he does is getting a haircut with a spiky look since it was the main look he's seen in some of the hairstyle magazines, along with getting an apartment and a job that is something that he actually enjoys. And as for his neighborhood, they find out who he is, but find that he isn't that bad of a person.
As for how he gets found, Heimdall could tell Thor, but stops Thor from barging on in on what Loki is doing, with Heimdall stating that Loki is far happier than he's ever been cause he's finally able to be his own person without being in Thor's shadow or Odin's and is able to do things that he enjoys without being ridiculed.

I love this prompt, and I hope it gets filled. You might be interested in reading the wonderful Tomorrow Might be Good For Something 'verse by art2_dream2 on AO3, as it has a similar theme.
