GEN or Any/Any, imprisoned!Loki gets therapy on Earth anonymous October 19 2015, 23:09:09 UTC
Maybe AU to Avengers where Loki is kept on Earth?

Although he's obviously going straight to prison, even Clint and Selvig acknowledge that Loki is somewhat unhinged and might as well have therapy. He may not be redeemed in their lifetime, but one day he might be, and until then he is entitled to talk things out.

So they start.

Slowly, things come out from Loki about his past. Although no one approves of his actions, they are all surprised that Loki didn't have a break down much earlier, with everything he's been through.

Bonus:
Although Loki has a shot at manipulating people's feelings, he's shocked by what the humans DO find upsetting. For one thing, they think his mother is just as responsible for his downfall as his father.

Yes please! I like the notion of Loki having therapy but still also being imprisoned for his crimes. Often it seems to be one or the other.

Would love to see story where he gets the necessary psychiatric help. Read a story many months ago where Loki voluntarily sought out a therapist...they were making excellent strides when he was hauled in for doing...nothing.

Very good story.

Always love stories where Loki gets the mental help he needs.

[GEN] Thor training with shield and spear anonymous October 20 2015, 04:24:48 UTC
Runestones show Odin with spear and shield. Clearly Odin wields Gungnir, spear or staff.
As his heir, Thor is required to learn how to fight with spear&shield, no matter what other weapon (like a hammer) he might prefer.
Thor hates it.
He complains to everyone about it.
His instructor makes him exercise nonetheless, and Odin is very disappointed if he does poorly.

It would be awesome if he hated it and Loki was really good at it - we've seen Loki with spear, staff, scepter, etc.

I can just see Loki quietly making the funeral arrangements, barely speaking, giving condolences to his wife's family, etc. and this whole time is rage is quietly building. And then once all the details are squared away, it's been a few weeks by now what with estate stuff and getting affairs in order, all that, and in any case Thor is probably convinced that Loki ran and hid, so none of them see it coming when Loki *completely loses his shit* and shows them why their ancestors referred to him as a god.

Tl; dr - yes, I'd like to read this.

Too bad I currently don't have the time to write. I wonder what Loki's wife's country's reaction might be in case he'd not marry in the US. Russia, Finland or Norway, well suited for a Frost Giant finally coming to terms with not being of the Aesir, or Tibet(China)?

Asgardians have there own swear/naughty words anonymous October 20 2015, 19:10:20 UTC
Based off of the episode of 'Monsters vs Aliens' about not speaking the 'Q word', Asgard and some of the other realms have words that do nothing but shouldn't be repeated, and having words that do terrible things (also called the forbidden words). During a battle against the avengers, a group of villains are fighting them, and either Thor, Amora, or Loki could say one of the forbidden words with the other two aliens in shock and the humans all confused.

Bonus:
+fury is surprised that there are alien words that do terrible things
++some idiots tries to get the forbidden words spread around
+++the villains and avengers have to work together to stop the idiots before they say the most forbidden word of all
++++one of the three aliens has to say the most forbidden word to save everyone

My therapist told me that often people uncomfortable in their bodies, or with their appearance will wear over-concealing clothes; layers, sleeves, etc. Considering that the headcanon of most of the fandom is that, by Asgardian standards, Loki's ugly, that might be plausible- not to mention the shape shifter thing...

Also, it might have to do with the Jotnar thing.
