Because I have no self control, and also apparently have no say in what I write - here, have some psychological depth to go with your crack!

Tony wasn't quite sure what took him past Coulson's office at just that moment in time. He was looking for the Cap, to do some quality Consulting. (The excuse he'd found this time was Don't you think you're being a bit hard on the Norse god? which was a perfect excuse because Tony knew he'd get the same answer as the last three times -- Orders from above. He's got to be acclimatised to Midgardian customs. Poor Thor the Thunder God was on his fourth hour of etiquette lessons today, but Tony was okay with that when it meant he got to watch Captain America punch things in the on-site gym ( ... )

There isn't something wrong with you, there's something awesome with you. I will forever except this as canon. Forever.

I absolutely love Coulson's threat about Stark. He's the absolute definition of "wolf in sheep's clothing" and I looooove it. :D

It's kind of becoming my canon too - I'm worried I'll go to see the Avengers and be all "Why doesn't Fury just turn into a giant snake and devour these guys? I mean, I know he would have preferred to keep Loki in the dark and subtly introduce him to a good therapist, but there's no reason not to just... oh, right!"

The field of super heroics was still very new, and most of the people involved were still finding their feet. Everyone still had images of Adam West in their heads, and big starbursts that said 'zing' and 'boff'. It was a little silly, and even the superheroes could agree with that sometimes. Natasha was ex-KGB, and she was infinitely more comfortable with black ops and wet work than with supervillains and killer robots.

Still, even if she couldn't quite define 'supervillain' in her head, beyond actors in clown suits or top hats, she was pretty sure she knew what a supervillain was not. Hammer and Vanko could be made to fit the mould. Teenage boys in hoodies and masks probably could not ( ... )

Natasha had to stop herself from gaping like an idiot, though, when she saw Coulson give it to him. He slid an arm round the kid's shoulders and tucked his head down onto his own shoulder, patting his back awkwardly. "I'm sorry," he said, and if only all supervillains were as easily defeated as the teenage ones.

"Don't give me sorry," said Coulson, not completely unkindly. "Give me it won't happen again, Agent Coulson. The boy glanced nervously at the fence that had taken the hit for him. There were scorch marks on the ground. "I won't act like a suicidal moron again, Agent Coulson ( ... )

I legit just let out a little "awww" noise. Sleip is my favorite of Loki's kids and you totally do his awesomeness/adorableness justice. Coulson coming to his rescue and then HUGGING HIM just killed me.
I love reading your fills on this meme! They always brighten up my day. :)

They rented Seabiscuit. And Hidalgo. And The Black Stallion. They left Black Beauty on the shelf, and piled onto Hel's couch under a blanket. Fenrir and Jormungand made noises about how they couldn't both take the evening off at the same time, but Hel glared them into submission. After a day like today, it wasn't hard to do.

Two hours into the horse movies, though, and both of them were in the kitchen complaining about the lack of beer in Hel's apartment.

Sleipnir was taking up most of the couch, stretched out and sprawled over Hel's shoulder. He had his eyes on the screen, but Hel could tell he'd stopped watching the movie about five minutes ago. She waited patiently.

"...hey," said Sleipnir eventually. Hel didn't look down.

"Hey," she said back.

"About all that supervillain stuff."

"Fenrir's still pissed. He's trying not to be, but you can tell he is because he hasn't taken his tie off yet."

Sleipnir frowned. "I don't think I've seen him take that thing off at all yet."

"He's pissed a lot." That worked, and Sleipnir ( ... )

Sleipnir laughed, batting her hand out of his hair. "I'll remember that."

"And throw away the mask?"

He hesitated. "It did make me look pretty stupid. I'm keeping the sweater, though."

Then Jor and Fenrir were coming back through from the kitchen, and Sleipnir had to sit up to make room on the couch. They finally agreed to move on from horse movies, and everyone got down to sniping about each other's choice in what to move on to. Hel was too slow to join in, and they ended up watching boy movies for the rest of the night. She didn't mind that too much. She had a few things to think about.

"You should let up on uncle Thor," she said later that night when she caught Jormungand in the kitchen. "It's upsetting Sleipnir."

Jormungand folded his arms and contemplated her. She looked back steadily until he nodded. "Okay, then."

That was wonderful I really would have loved to see something with loki and his now all free/freeish (as Jormangand and Fenrir still technically have their curses) especially Sleipnir as his and Loki's pain has probably been greatest cause Loki had to watch him be hurt by the Aseir

Thank you so much! I picture it being pretty heartbreaking for Loki to have watched Sleipnir reduced to a beast of burden -- but in my headcanon here, Odin was doing it to make a point to the other Aesir. See? Loki may give birth to animals and monsters, but some of them are useful animals!

He's trying to help, but is Odin. And therefore cannot consider Loki's feelings to save his life.

Sleipnir, oh Sleipnir... slakddf;sdjkghakdfgka;jaslhkdglh<3 This family is just adorable.

So... what happens when Loki finds out Sleipnir is on Midgard and that his other kids are working with the Avengers? ::shamelessly pushes plotbunnies towards you:: I just really want a Loki-Sleipnir reunion, okay? Please?

Aah, the plot bunnies, oh no! I'm being overrun, aarglglg~*

I'm still just trying to decide how Loki's supervillain career works in this verse - I have an idea for how he meets Hel... does he then vanish neatly off SHIELD's radar? All the Avengers are freaking out, but Fury and Coulson seem remarkably calm about the whole thing-

Because Loki is camped out on Hel's couch having quality family time with her and Sleipnir.

I love how you ran with the initial premise, developing and detailing it, fleshing it out (sorry Hel) and making into these really believable and consistent characters. I love the interactions between them and I want to hug Sleipnir so much! Awesome and delightful =]

Everyone should want to hug Sleipnir, 100% of the time.

Thank you, I'm so pleased you liked my characterisation! I loved the premise, as it made for such interesting people.

This is amazing. (And I've been digging this fanon like crazy. It's just so completely ridiculous in all the best ways. And you've done it with such a non-ridiculous flavor that it's just heartwarming and brilliant.)

Long story short: I'm sitting here grinning like an idiot, because this was too perfect.
