Second Fill: Thoroughbred of Sin (1/5) lunik_the_bard October 25 2011, 00:34:07 UTC
Because I have no self control, and also apparently have no say in what I write - here, have some psychological depth to go with your crack!

Tony wasn't quite sure what took him past Coulson's office at just that moment in time. He was looking for the Cap, to do some quality Consulting. (The excuse he'd found this time was Don't you think you're being a bit hard on the Norse god? which was a perfect excuse because Tony knew he'd get the same answer as the last three times -- Orders from above. He's got to be acclimatised to Midgardian customs. Poor Thor the Thunder God was on his fourth hour of etiquette lessons today, but Tony was okay with that when it meant he got to watch Captain America punch things in the on-site gym ( ... )

Writing about ridiculous things as if they're not ridiculous at all is like my favourite thing to do! XD Thank you so much!

Author's note: never explain the joke! lunik_the_bard October 27 2011, 00:12:44 UTC
Aand, that's all my psychology. I know that it's bad form to have to explain what you meant in a post script, but I feel the need to make excuses here for why I had to write this instead of updating my WIPs (or writing my novel, or doing the hundred and one RL things I ought to be).

Basically, I found myself thinking about the characters' bestial traits, how they would come through in human personalities -- Coulson has his whole Papa wolf protect the pack instinct (which I've seen occasionally in fanon, not so much in the movies) -- Fury is cold blooded and careful/calculated -- Darcy reaches for sensation like pop culture and pop tarts because she's a little dead girl on the inside. And it occurred to me that out of the four of them, Sleipnir's the only one who's not a predator in his true form (if we can assume zombie tops any food chain it feels like ( ... )

*rummages around* Okay so I've got an internet, a first-born, and some kidneys. Which do you prefer? Silly me you deserve ALL OF THEM. :D

I like this concept a lot. And it does make a lot of sense. I'm glad that they're going to let up on Thor now.

Er... do we get to see what happens if/when other people figure it out? Loki, Thor, other Avengers? I want to stay in your 'verse forever.

Hurrah, I've been thinking of starting a kidney collection!

I don't have any plans to write more of this, but then I didn't exactly plan on writing this one. I'll have to wait and see (I have been thinking about Sleipnir meeting uncle Thor again, and the other three being epically uncomfortable that the baby brother is the favoured child... :|)

Oh, all right - if you insist!

Read: I have zero willpower, and a lot to procrastinate.

So I've been watching this fill with slackjawed awe, holy crap this is one of the bestest things to come out of something I prompted ever. Just just just. I adore the shit out of your writing, it's so smooth and flowing and the characterizations are fantastic, nevermind word choice and diction and YES I AM A HUGE WRITING DORK.

My HEART for them rescuing Sleipnir (excellent prompt btw, OP!) and just being badass siblings under the Avengers' noses, there are sooo many things in this series that I adore. AND THE SEQUEL. OH MY GOD BAD HORSE. KID!SLEIPNIR MAKING HIS OWN COSTUME. I DIE. I DIE A HAPPY GIGGLY DEATH.

Also randomly I like that they left Black Beauty on the shelf because omfg that movie was depressing. D: (Ginger! *bawls*)

I need to go rewatch Dr. Horrible now. In any event you are fantastic, I love you, <3!

I LOVE THAT YOU ARE A WRITING DORK and am all flustered and blush-y from reading this. Thank you!

I get the feeling Sleipnir's costume wasn't exactly great. Hoodie, mask... Yep, that'll do, time to strike fear into the Avengers' hearts!

And thank you for the original prompt, it was a stroke of genius - every time I have to explain to a friend or family member why I'm sniggering at my laptop, I get as far as Snakes on a Plane before dissolving in giggles.
