"Those are the rules of Jinx, and they are unflinchingly rigid."

I had a pretty great evening last night. Instead of writing (OMG why didn't I do some writing?!) the Boy and I went out for dinner, watched some of An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder and then (TMI alert!) we fooled around for a while. I have to pretend Kevin Smith wasn't the source of inspiration. Afterward we ( had the following conversation )

I knew that! I was going for consistency because I spelled it wrong when I made the initial tag. So...yeah, okay, I fail at spelling. Are you happy now, E? :-)

You can fix the tags, you know. Just sayin'.

And, hee! I'm sort of afraid to have this sort of conversation with B. He knows I'd only leave him for fictional characters, and he's vastly amused by it, and would love to poke fun at me for it, but it would doubtless spoil the mood. :-)

*boggles* I can just go back and fix the...what? I...*sputter* I didn't know I could do that! I thought I was stuck with these stupid things! You have revolutionized my worldview, Isis. Or at least my LJview.

And you should go ahead and have the conversation. Mood-spoilage is inevitable (my Boy and I are experts at that) but it does lead to a lot of hilarity. And then you can post about it and amuse the rest of us!

You know, if you really want me to stop calling you adorable, you should stop posting stuff like this. It makes it extremely difficult to avoid using the a-word.

I've got an f-word that I'd like to use...:-)

Seriously, dude, I am not that adorable. I am made of angst and despondency! Black leather and motorcycle boots, remember? And why can't I be on IM with you right now? Stupid work!

You are so utterly adorable, you know that? <3

NO! Not adorable! I'm angsty! *showers you in depressed sparkles*

Adorable in an utterly black and despairing way, then?

Unfortunately, my other word choice was 'cute', and I figured adorable was the lesser of two fluffy evils.

Yes, "adorable" is less likely to earn you a kick in the head, that's true :-)

Kevin Smith is brilliant! My friend Rebecca went to his filmed Q&A in Toronto, and the camera flashed on her about ninety times (because she gives good laugh, apparently). Watching that DVD was a little surreal because one second Kevin Smith is talking about how boring The Lord of the Rings is ("Six hours of walking") and then next...there's my friend!

i know what to do with him!!!

*g* Yes, yes, you're very reliable that way.

i am ALMOST tempted to encourage kevin to stop making real movies and just film himself telling stories.. hes a great storyteller, very comfortable and funny and insightful. that story in the first movie about the superman script was DIVINE. and the whole thing about his wife in playboy was brilliant as well.

and yes thank you thank you... i try to be reliable. i trust my overuse of exclamation points did not belie my ladylike intentions. *g*

Oh, God, I love that story about the Superman script! "Giant motherfucking spider!" He really is brilliant.
