Razor birthday check in:

Last year’s birthday for Razor was a big one for me. I’d never had a dog live to see 10, but he did it! And now, 11. That’s my boy. His Dad lived to be 14-ish, so it’s not like this is a surprise. But never having HAD an elderly dog, it’s a very new experience for me.

It's been ages and ages since Rumble and I did an AKC show. We did a lot of USDAA last summer and into the fall. I signed up for an AKC show in Salem when penichops was here, but it was hotter than a F*(&%$ so we didn't go. Agility in 107 temps just isn't our cup o' tea ( Read more... )

Rumble and I went up to Ridgefield for the CAT USDAA. We've not trialed in ages. And we've been lax on the practice as well. But last week we spent barn time doing some things that have caused us issues recently. Time WELL SPENT ( Read more... )

Razor has sort of been in semi-retirement for almost a year now. Close to a year? something like that. He's not been willing to weave a set of 12 poles at least since we've moved to Poodletopia, so for at least that long I've not entered him in any trials. I want to. He loves it. But it just seemed moot -- ya know?
