Smokey the Dog is Drinking with God

For those of you who don't already know, I've been having a shitty past few weeks. I've been doing my best to be present with myself and the frustration and deal with each little thing as it comes along, but sometimes... it's hard. Especially when it all hits me at once. Of course, most of it is stuff that I could have avoided with some forethought ( Read more... )

I'm sorry it's been a tricky time for you, but you always seem to pull through beautifully.
As for Smokey, he was a cool dog. I didn't realize he would have been that old. How time flies, eh? I'm sorry that he's gone, and I understand what it's like to lose a Smokey dog that you've known since you were young.

Thinking of you, and also sending similar good stress relieving vibes your way. They may take a little longer to get there though from Japan. :) Unless of course I borrow one of Brittany's heat seeking fairy luck dust missiles... that could do the job.

That is horrible news. It just won't be the same without Smokey there at your parent's house. I was actually kind of fond of that dog. He was the only dog that I met that didn't bark its head off at me when I approached him. Granted I try to avoid crossing paths with dogs of any kind. But he will be missed.

Anti-stress vibes and heat-seaking faerie misslies are warmly appreciated. :)*

It brings me sorrow to hear about Smokey. Tell your folks I'll be stopping by in the next couple of weeks. I've meant to ever since I got back, but have been stuck and destitute. But no more will I let that stop me. Btw, I wrote a tribute to Smokey.

Oh, Hoss
To Sarcoptic Mange
To sorting the recycling from the trash
To the sausage maker
To rolling snowballs with your nose...then humping them
To sign language
To sticks and balls
To black spots in your brain
Most of all, to you, Smokey

Kegan and I are really bummed out. We talked about Smoke an awful lot. He was one of the worlds best dogs. The world just got a little less black.

Ha... I can't decide whether this makes my day or makes me want to cry even more. But I'll certainly share it with my parents. It'd make a lovely epitaph. Hugs and thanks to both of you.*
