The world is ending tomorrow. What do you do today?

What, The Boy Who Lived is supposed to do something about the end of the world now, too?

You know what? I think I'll just sit back and watch it come.

You called Pansy it. One is very amused. Well done, Potter.

Crass, Bulstrode. Very crass.

I hope she doesn't hex your "personal massaging wand" for that comment.

One does one's best. And one would like to see her try.

You may get your wish. Not that I'm going to say anything.

Could be worse, y'know. At least the question's not pinning it on you, right? Been there, or close enough to there as makes no difference. Not planning on doing it again.

That's a good point. Although people are so damned fickle, I wouldn't be surprised if that was next week's question.

"Harry Potter is going to destroy the world. What are YOU going to do about it?"

Oh, that one's easy. "Get the kid good and drunk, offer to walk him to wherever it is he's got to go, and keep him talking until he doesn't feel like doin' it any more." No offense, Harry, but I"ve had to deal with lots worse.

No offense, John. But "the kid" wouldn't get drunk with you. If I got drunk with every person who offered, I'd have been dead long before now.

I've had to deal with lots worse, myself. I just don't feel like dealing with it anymore.

I'm with you, kid.

Well, you know. It gets old being either the saviour or the downfall of everything everyone holds dear, depending on the date, time, location and barometric pressure.

But I suspect I don't have to explain that to you.

No, I understand the sentiment quite entirely. It's rather tempting to run away but then what's left for your identity?

What good is an identity if it's one that is not really you, anyway?

I'm thinking getting drunk and passing out so I don't have to see it would be more interesting.

Or , Harry , you could just realise that you are not alone. Despite wanting to deal with everything yourself , you dont have to.

I'm not alone. That's a pretty safe wager.

What, and miss everything going falling into a burning heap? Where's the fun in that?

My, my, we *do* have a persecution complex, don't we Potter. Believe it or not, things do happen in this world that don't revolve entirely around *you.*

You don't say.

If a persecution complex is the worst thing I bring out of Hogwarts, I dare say I'll be several steps ahead of some others, wouldn't you agree?
