Update

Many thanks for all the kind messages following my last post back in March. The operation went well and I was on iv antibiotics in the hospital for two weeks. This was followed by six weeks of three different, high dose oral antibiotics at home and as you can probably imagine this leaves you feeling pretty rough. I am now finished with those and ( Read more... )

Thank you for the update. I'd been wondering how you were doing. I hope the test show no infection and that you can go ahead with the next surgery. Will that be the end of it? I sure hope so because you've gone through so much already.

Don't feel bad about missing birthdays, at least not mine on May 11th. My computer crashed on May 9th during a Microsoft Windows update and I wasn't able to even use my ancient laptop because we couldn't find the AC adapter. Ordered a new adapter which arrived yesterday so I'm back in business, but this old laptop is pretty slow.

Talked with a computer repairman and he said it would probably cost as much to repair my Dell tower as it would be buy a new computer so, after talking it over with hubby, we decided on the latter. I'm going with a 17" HP laptop and it will be here June 4th.

I really hope that will be an end to it Yeux but I found out yesterday that if the test shows that some infection is still there I will have to go through the whole thing again. As you can imagine I am now living in dread until I get those results.

I'm sorry about your computer woes but tomorrow you get your new lap top so that will be exciting. My lap top is going the same way, it's terribly slow so I think I will be in the same situation before long. Also my mini iPad has been driving me mad, I Wish now I'd gone for the full size one. Anyway, hope your new one is up and running really soon - enjoy!!

I hope so, too, because you've gone through so much with your hip. I'm sure it's been worrisome and painful. I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and constant wishes for a complete recovery.

Yes, the new laptop arrives tomorrow. I wish there was some way to upgrade the old one I'm using. I've checked and it's not possible to upgrade to Windows 10 from Vista. Too many internal things wouldn't work. I love this laptop, the look of it, the feel of it. I will continue to use for the things it can handle -- which probably won't be much -- and for emergencies.

I've never had an iPad nor wanted one. Couldn't think of a use for it without wireless, which we only got recently..I don't have a cell phone either because there's no service here. We're too surrounded by mountains with no cell towers.

Getting older is kinda scary, I am so sorry to hear about your infections. I broke my foot in late March and finally got my cast of yesterday, but yours sounds way worse. Take care and let us know how it goes!

Oh my dear, you really have been through the mill. I'm so sorry. I didn't know. Hopefully now that you're feeling more yourself the worst is behind you. I hope so. Fingers crossed the second op goes well. *hugs*

Thanks Belle. It'll be good to get the second op over, then I can really concentrate on getting back to myself. xx
