Sorry I've been kind of quiet for the past few weeks - there hasn't been that much to say. Mostly I've just been going to class and going to practice and wondering about ways to ask her to the MasqueI think I might be getting sick, I feel feverish and my throat is all red and sore, which is strange as I was feeling fine yesterday. Antonin told me ( Read more... )

Just don't spread it, Fenwick. That's the last thing needed. A dungeon full of sick Slytherins.

I wouldn't dream of it.

What're you doing awake?

3 am is a nice quiet time, it's good for thinking and...
Actually, because my throat and head are sore and it woke me up. I'd blame you, but I've no idea how it would have spread.

You're right, it's an awfully nice time of day. I mean, it's deathly quiet and you just know that everyone else is getting a lovely full night's sleep while you're busy being awake and feeling like shite. There's nothing quite like it.

I have lozenges, if you want. They seem to help the sore throat.

If I had known about your birthday there would have been no coddling.
Anyway, it's nothing to be sorry about.

my sister always coddles me about my birthday.
it's worse if it's coddling by anyone else.
rabies is not a joking matter.

I would not have coddled you.

You're right, rabies is a very serious condition. You can die from it, and I don't want to die.

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I've heard tea with honey helps for the throat, or perhaps chamomile tea? I could bring you some if you like?

Thanks, that's really nice of you to offer.

I think I'm probably still contagious, so I'll take a rain-check on the tea. I don't want to end up getting you sick too.

Ask the nurse for a pepperup potion? ask snape, he'll have a potion for you. unless he doesn't like you -- in that case, he probably poisoned it.

I never poison my potions.
Usually keep a few extra ones, though, so if you need another look in my trunk.

I don't think I'll be needing it (Pomfrey probably has enough Pepperup Potion for a small army with the flu), but thank you.
