This summer has been quiet and too warm, and also really boring, except for the times that I've seen people from school. My parents decided last week to take Jules on a tour of the UK so I've got the house all to myself for a while but not having them around just makes the quiet worse, if you can believe it ( Read more... )

There's nothing to really say about being out of school except that it's a lot more boring than I thought it would be. I guess I just want to publicly apologise for anyone I haven't seen much of these past few weeks - Lily, Emmeline, I'm sorry, I've just been really busy lately. I probably wouldn't have been much fun anyway - maybe some other time?

I hate revising.

It seems like a lot of things have been happening lately but I haven't really felt like writing about any of them. I guess sometimes it feels like it cheapens things to put them into words, because it's so hard to say exactly what you mean and somehow, something always gets lost in translation.

But sometimes there are things that need to be said.

I just got a package in the post from Zach, care of my grandfather. When you think about it, it's a little odd spending so much time out of the year here at school - it's like we've all become this really insular little community, especially now that we can't even take trips out to Hogsmeade anymore. So... detention, yeah? Really not fun. Snow is also not that fun (it's rather nice normally, but I think the fun factor of snow is probably inversely proportional to the amount of time you spend in and around it.).
