Haven't posted an update in a while because everything I try to write ends up sounding emo. Things just aren't going very well. Sigh.

Sang bought me a beautiful wire-wrapped purple pearl ring several years ago. I love it and wear it all the time. Because I enjoy that ring so much, I've always wanted to be able to make them myself. I assumed it was really difficult (and probably expensive).

I found a Rock Band instrument set at Goodwill last Thursday for $20. I never had any intention of getting into Rock Band, but I'll play at that price! I'm missing the receiver for the guitar; since the receiver costs almost as much as a brand new guitar on Amazon (around $25), looks like I'm getting another guitar at some point to complete the set ( Read more... )

I used the Water Pik last night (using cold water--NEVER do that! Always use warm water!) and now my teeth hurt. I hope it's just from the cold water/sympathy pains for Ray. Our PS3 died on Friday night. It's our main source of entertainment, since it plays DVDs, Blu-Rays, and video files on a hard drive. I took it home to my dad on Saturday, and he took it apart piece by piece, over a period of eight hours, before declaring the power supply dead. It's an easy repair, but I need the part.
