I might be mistaken, but it seems as if some people here know each other from before they were brought to the ship. So... people from the same place... can be brought together?

I don't think there is any way to bargain with the Captain, Johanna. I believe the fact there are a few people on this boat who knew each other before is simply chance.

I didn't truly expect there to be, but it was nice to hope. Still, I suppose if things are this way, then it's God's will, and I must accept it.

Very strange. I suppose I'm lucky that there are very few people I will miss, but it's still enough to make me homesick now and again. I think the worst thing is that there was no chance to say goodbye.

I wonder what our friends and families think have become of us?

To be able to bring friends or family here... That would indeed be a nice thing. I really want to see Sagi again, but... I don't think he would like to be condemned here along with me.

It would be wonderful. I don't think Anthony would be too sad to be here, because we were hardly going to be staying where we were anyway.
