I'm really sorry you're having problems with your head. I hope you feel better soon.

And I'm sorry about your snake. I've got no snake advice but I hope he heals quickly.

I'm curious about Downpour. At first I wasn't sure about it but now I'm hearing good things. Except it would probably be too hard for me, so I don't know.

Thanks. :) Me too- er, obviously.

And thanks for that too. I'll be keeping a close eye on him. And possibly taking him to the vet, if I can arrange it (all the ones taking snakes are too far for me to drive now, sadly).

Downpour's been really great so far! And there are difficulty settings- for the combat AND the puzzles, which means there are puzzles again. :D So far I've been watching Dan play on Normal, and...yeah, that looks a bit tough. I'll have to try Easy and see how it is. I've never been able to finish a Silent Hill game on anything but Easy first. So far, I've been impressed with the game's hints on there being a deep storyline if you want to look for it, and the references in the signs have made it clear the developing team is serious about their Silent Hill knowledge. Oh! And the music is gorgeous. They got a good guy for the soundtrack. So yes, my mild optimism has turned enthusiastic now.

Sorry to hear about the health issues and the snake, but at you have a fun video game.

One thing I do for snakes that need extra moisture is to make a fully enclosed hiding hole (ie some Tupperware with a lid and a hole cut in it), and fill it with long-fiber sphagnum moss. It's also sold as orchid moss, and should be at any garden center (but it's not the same as sphagnum peat moss). It holds moisture VERY well, and never molds. Just stuff the hide with it and moisten it every day or so. Hopefully, he'll spend lots of time in the hide, and that should help.

Thanks, man. The fun video game is pretty cool. And thanks for the advice. That sounds like a great idea- I've just been up and misting the cage with warm water about five times a day, but that sounds like a place he'd probably like to be.

Unfortunately, Lestat's gotten a lot worse today, so I'm guessing humidity wasn't the problem. He lost a ton of weight overnight (he was never a heavy snake but he seems emaciated now), and he has more wounds. We're taking him to an animal hospital across town later this afternoon, and I'll just hope they can figure out something.

Damn, I hope he's OK. That's pretty unusual, and I can't even begin to guess at a cause.
