Every person (that'd be two, they were both of an ethnicity) that I've ever met who was actually named Portia spelled it P-O-R-C-H-E. Like the car. I don't attempt to understand some of my people some of the time, mostly when they're naming their children.
Iowa was nice. The interview went OK though I was visibly flustered and inarticulate for the first few questions. Then I warmed to it. Most of that damn thing was them selling us on the idea od their school. A dean spoke to us and milked from the people around me the school's stats about dollars research and number ranking etc. Then it later came up in the interview and I tried to play it up (badly) like I cared about these data.
I wanted to say that all medical educations are about the same, but that woiudn't be good. I don't pay attention to those numbers because they don't measure anything useful for a medical student. They measure where company and government should invest, that's about it.
