Dr. Barton found an oboe the school had that he wasn't aware of. I got it today and it plays so wonderfully! It's a Loree, one of the two best oboe makers. It does need some love in the shop. Some of the keys are sticky, but it's not a big deal. I'm so sad that I have to break it in for so long. For any oboe that is either new or hasn't been played

That's really nice of him! Especially since it's a nice oboe.
Don't worry about being good or not---you've got the drive and the passion, that's all you need. With practice, you'll be fine! :)

yea, the school was really excited to know there was an oboist attending. he said i was the third they've had in 32 years. he didnt actually give it to me though, i'm just borrowing it. but after a few years ill be able to buy one through just savings, or from a loan because ill have some credit built up by then
