Marty showed up about five minutes later looking a little groggy and looking fairly casual in a t-shirt and jeans. "Coffee. Need coffee."

"It's not brewing fast enough," Angel said, glaring at the coffee maker as though it was doing that on purpose.

Marty gave the coffee maker a glare that he usually reserves for Bel, but unfortunately did not make the coffee brew any faster. "So what was that thing we ran into last night? It took me an hour to get the goop out of my hair."

"I think they were speed walkers," Angel said, his brain not coherent enough yet to realize Marty was asking about the demon, and not what they'd run into prior to that.

"I'll check what's in the kitchen," Angela said, and went to do that.

She emerged with a half-full box of cherry Pop-Tarts. "I guess breakfast is served," she added. "They're better untoasted."

As she resumed her seat at the table, her eyes fell on the metro section and she shuddered. "Ugh. Murder. Looks gruesome."

Logan grabbed a Pop-Tart and turned back for his coffee. Which was missing. He poured another cup and looked over Angela's shoulder. "Cross carved in her cheek? Lovely. Any sign of 'neck rupture' or 'wild dog attack', or is this just a case of fundies gone bad?"

"Lovely. Sounds like a real whack job out there," Marty said stealing one of Angela's pop tarts. "Unless it's just a demon with a religion fetish."

"Cross?" Angel asked. He glanced over to see the picture, then moved to take Marty by the shoulder and guide him into his office. "Hey, Marty, can I talk to you for a sec? About the thing and the stuff?"

"There may be a problem," Angel said to Marty as soon as he could close the door.

"If it's about the towels, I didn't realize they weren't complimentary," Marty qupped before he realized that Angel was more broody than his normal self. "What's up?"

"How drunk was I last night? How long we we together last night?" Angel asked. "I know Angela said three but - was I out of your sight for very long?"

"Well we left the hotel about eleven. Almost killed the speedwalkers around midnight and were together chasing that demony thing until around three or so and got back here around four-thirty AM," Marty said trying to remember. "After that I went to bed. Why do you ask?"

"I'm thinking you're right," Angel said. He pushed away from his desk and went to open the door that, unbeknownst to his distracted mind, had Logan and Angela behind it.

Looking troubled, Angela took a quick step backwards. She attempted to cover with a smile. "So what's up?"

Angel didn't look happy. He also looked like he was having a hard time making eye contact with Logan. "How much did you hear?"

"You could taste their blood?" Logan asked, arms folded across his chest.
