I've most certainly had better mornings than this one turned out to be...

It would seem I was completely wrong.

The girl has gotten involved after all, and she now carries one of the most powerful curses I've ever seen. ...In that she's now an old woman.

Apparently her name is Sophie. And the Witch packaged her with a nice little love letter to give me as well, knowing the girl would go straight to me for help. ...Which ( Read more... )

a ninety-year-old-woman eh...?, wasn't good for the table at all, sophie, a hot bath sounds rather nice, she's made herself our cleaning lady, war..., how i do hate scorch marks, witch of the waste, blast those idiots

Yes. A war...and from the looks of it, it's going to be quite the nasty one.

How can you be so calm about a war?!

Well, it's not like panicking about it is going to help matters any. But I certainly don't like it anymore than the next person.

Hmmm. So what is your next plan of action going to be Master Pendragon?

Well, short-term speaking, I'm having Calcifer move the castle sixty miles to the west, just to be on the safe side. After that...I plan to attend to the war matter shortly after now, actually.

I've never seen a symbol like that before, 'kay? Does it do anything?

You could say it's ancient sorcery, and quite powerful, too. This one in particular conveys a nice little message for me, written by the Witch herself.

What kind of message?

You who swallowed a falling star
O heartless man
Your heart shall soon be mine.

To put it basically.

Needless to say, it was hardly good for the table, so I removed it.

For a man without a heart, you seem to be quite concerned with this war.

...I don't like wars.

That said, being in the middle of one now is very, very troublesome.

Wars can make for a good way to shake someone off your tail, you know.

Perhaps...but I still do not favor them any more now. I'd greatly prefer that this had never occured. The entire cause of it is truly incredibly small...

This "Witch" you speak of...She seems unlikely to relent in her pursuit of you my friend. Would you like assistance in dealing with her?

Reply

notthehairplz September 2 2009, 02:04:31 UTC
So it would seem.

I thank you, but the last thing I'd want is for you to get involved in this. This is my problem alone, and one that I have brought upon myself.

Howl...The last thing I am going to do is abandon you in sure a dire time. I would like to offer any assistance in anyway.

If you are worried for my wellbeing, Mr. Flowright, you need not be. The Witch has not been able to get any closer to us for some time, and I fully intend for that to remain so. I'm having Calcifer move the castle sixty miles to the west as we speak.

And as to the war...well, I intend to see what I can do about that over the next few days. And maybe chip in my two cents on the matter.
