I work for CIO Executive Council, an offshoot of CIO magazine, an offshoot of CXO Media, an offshoot of IDG.

Really? Writers? What kind of writers? Are you sure they arent looking for editors instead? :(

Cause, goodness knows, I will probably need a job come August or September.

They will be looking for writers this summer (not editors, they're looking for editors now... and always seem to be if you want that...) because their online magazine for CSO (Cheif Security Officers) is selling by leaps and bounds and they need new people. I don't think that you actually have to know anything about the subject matter, you just have to be able to interview people and form coherent thoughts. Check out the website above, the listings won't be up for about a month though for writers... but there are plenty of other listings.

If you want me to help you with your cover letter, just let me know. I realized that my cover letters sucked. I tweaked it a bit and that's why I got this job.
