I just knew I should have waited until this morning to actually put him back in (because you're supposed to let the water sit so some of the chemicals can dissipate) but instead I just stayed up late and put

I'm really sorry, Declan. And I understand how you feel.

I do think it's good that you're going to bury him instead of flushing him. That might seem obvious, but then I can remember flushing a few fish when I was younger, considering I've had quite a lot of them over the years.

Thanks. I wasn't hopelessly attached to him but I feel bad. He really seemed to do well in his new tank and I didn't have him long enough. Maybe I'm not meant to keep cold blooded pets. They always die.
