Wow. Looking back on livejournal posts is weird. I think so differently now. Both about specific people/things and about much broader subjects. Life also just seems like a million miles away from where I was this time last year. Or even just like six months ago.

Today I signed the lease for what will soon be my new apartment! It's right on St. Charles just two buildings away from Vincent's and that garish statue and fountain store that my mom thinks is a front for the Italian mob. Where would you concider New Orleans' heart to be? The place where people seem to gather almost automatically, instinctively. The city's psychic center.

I think I might have come down with a mild case of Saints fever tonight. It's hard not to with car horns blaring, police sirens screaming, fireworks going off and gazillions of shouting young folks walking past my bedroom window. The din from the bars just down the street is incredible! This city has gone wild!

So once again the HBO series Rome has fueled an obsession with obscure Roman gods. Luckily for me, there is this page on Wikipedia. I was going to doing some long post about how Thanksgiving with the grandparents was fine, how some people at work are driving me crazy and how going to see Theresa Andersson live at the new Borders was total amazingness, but who cares about all that?! It SNOWED!!! In New Orleans!!! It freakin snowed!!! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! YAAAAAAY!!!!!!

 Does anyone else feel like there's something not right about the concealed guns on university campuses thing? I can't quite put my finger on it but it just feels wrong. I don't feel safer knowing that there's MORE concealed weapons around me.
