I am writing to report several incidents of sexual harassment which has occurred while at work at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center. I do not know the last name of this person, only that his first name is Mark. I believe Human Resources knows of the person and can provide the last name for me.

That really sucks. When my older sister went away to college there was this weird guy who lived in the dorm downstairs from her. One time he cornered her in her room and was talking about knives and sex for like 2 hours until her roommate came back and the school told her she could change dorms. It's really not fair and I feel that women are always punished for reporting innapropriate behavior that they SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH IN THE FIRST PLACE!

All I can offer is it's only for a week and a half...? Sorry dude.

thanks. yea, not feeling punished, but HR isn't acting exactly as they said. in any case, he's been around a couple of days now and i've been avoiding and he hasn't sought me out.

yeah. i'm not the first person this has happened to, though i'm only the second to report. he'll find someone else, and it will likely be another intern, like me, who he thinks won't be likely to speak up about it. *shivers*

dude that sucks. you did the right thing but now your stuck dealing with the half-ass correction from hr... crappy. sorry. but congrats for sticking up for yourself. too bad that guy couldn't get punished more, but maybe someone else will take your example and report him too.

there's one other person here who ought to have reported, but didn't at the time. she was the one who told me (pretty much made me) report. he'll do it again, and he'll eventually be fired for it, but what then? another job, another harassment. he needs help. HR recommended psychological counseling, but it wasn't a requirement. don't even know that he thinks that his behavior is abnormal/threatening/inappropriate/unwelcome etc.
