I couldn't believe what I just heard. He kissed Angel, it was a result of the poison and that he loved me. I saw the bites on his neck, it nearly made me ill. I wanted to walk over to Angel and give him a piece of my mind, but there was no time for that. Now I needed to take care of Wesley

My fork clattered onto the plate. A startled look flashed across my face. It took me a moment to regain my senses. I paused long enough to give myself a stern talking to about being honest and open with the woman I love.

"Willow, Angel is my friend. Perhaps the best friend I have ever known. What happened between us hasn't been the least pleasant thing I've ever done, but I have no desire for him in that manner. What happened between us was an effect of the poison. That is all. I love you."

"yes but when you kiss me I feel something, how do you know that what you feel when you kiss Angel he doesn't want more, that you don't want more?" I asked softly and yet with panic.

"Wesley, if you want that I will understand, we can still be friends, but I can't be part of something with you at the same time...I just can't." I don't know why I was saying this, I don't know why I was so worried, but I was.

My body began to shake, the fear of losing the one thing that seemed so right since I got here, it terrified me

Acting on instinct at the sight of her trembling, I grabbed her and gently pulled her onto my lap. I wrapped my arms around her.

"I know I don't want more. Do you know how I know that?" I asked quietly.

"How do you know? How could you possibly know that one day you won't be sitting in the office and look up and see Angel in just thr right light and want to throw him down and do naughty things...I mean not that you could throw him down, but yeah..."

I said in a frantic state as I leaned against him. There was something about having his arms around me...

"Wesley, I have lost everything, lost the two loves of my life, lost the only family I truly knew and now you have kissed Angel and you say it meant nothing, but when we are so close...how can you be sure?"
