I haven't posted in a long, long time.
Recently, I feel as though I've had a breakthrough.

To everyone else in the community: you don't have to tell the other person you've forgiven them. In my case, if I told my N-parent that I forgave her, I know she would take that as an invitation to keep repeating her past behaviors. Forgiveness is something you do for yourself, not for the other person.
