Had my very first root canal today. It wasn't bad at all, no pain. No gas either, just some novocaine. The numbness was a bit odd, but at the same time it was a relaxing feeling.
And the root canal came with a prescription for vicadin... I'll be feeling really good very soon ;)

Well, I just had one ripped out, we didn't bother with anything else since the tooth in question was already loose.
They numbed me up and I had to agree with you, it's definitely a weird feeling. I was drooling like and idiot because I couldn't feel whether or not my lips were closed or not.
He actually didn't give me anything for pain and I am glad cause I hate popping pills anyway. I was lucky that there was no additional pain other than a headache from not eating. (I never eat before going to the dentist. I have a tendency to barf on them. Funny actually, has something to do with my gag reflex which you would assume would be suppressed pretty good by now ;) )

My next visit in 2 weeks will include an extraction along with a deep cleaning of the left side of my mouth. I'll be glad to get this tooth out as it is just a mess right now.. half of it is already gone anyways! Luckily its the very last molar so it shoudln't be noticable that it will be gone. I enjoy going to the dentist for some odd reason.. could it be because the doc is hot? :) lol

Maybe you like it cause you are imagining him doing naughty things to you while laid out in his chair. Hehehehe
