Title: Missed Connections: Chapter two
Pairing: Junsu/Junho
Rating: PG-13 for later chapters
Summary: Boy meets Boy and still forgets to get his number

The next time Junsu sees the boy, he doesn't recognise him. It's not that he's forgotten about him, how could anyone forget that smile? How could Junsu forget the way the other had looked him up and down like a cat about to pounce on an unsuspecting mouse? Junsu's excuse was that he was tired and down spirited, his day had been spent in a dull grey cubicle and his evening in a meeting with his so called 'manager' who had still yet to book him a single audition or gig. Junsu is trying to work his way into the music scene, he's a good singer, he knows he is. Everyone tells him he is. 'You'll be the next Rain Bi, the next Lee Seung Gi' He knows he'll be bigger.

Junsu is glad when the train arrives on time and quickly finds himself a seat, pulling his scarf a little tighter around his face. He pulls out his mp3 player and glances to the man opposite him, hidden by thickly framed glasses and a large green bobble hat as he selects a random song. The male's body disappears under a grey pea coat and there's something about his sneakers that set off alarm bells in Junsu's mind. His stomach tightens but he's too tired to think about some stranger's shoes as super junior start to play through his head phones.

Four songs later he's well aware of the other man's eyes on him. His skin is on fire and the hair at the nape of his neck prickles and stands on end. He's beginning to wonder what the other seems to find so interesting about him, wonders if the other is mentally undressing him. Curiosity gets the best of him and he finally pulls out his headphones and lifts his head from the seat.

The man stares at him for a few moments, dark chocolate magnified through thick lenses and Junsu offers him an akward half smile, pulling his scarf up higher as though it can protect him somehow. The other breaks into a slow lopsided grin and his stomach flips again.

Oh, it's him.

Junsu's blush deepens and he smiles back apologetically, gesturing towards his face with one hand. 'Hat and glasses' He communicates silently and the other knods enthusiastically. He understands.

The boy glances around then, and pats the empty space besides him. There's not many people in the carriage and they're all in their own little worlds. Junsu watches for a moment, notices that the gesture he thought was patting is actually the other boy stroking the worn fabric and it's a beckoning call. He decides the slight curl of the boy's lip is a come hither look and his body is forcing itself across the carriage. He swallows the lump in his throat and tugs his scarf to his lower lip as he sits down.

They boys turns towards him and Junsu is struck by his features as the boy removes his glasses. Junsu still doesn't think he's perfect, his eyes are too small and he has pimples oddly patched across one cheek. "Wow, you look just li..." Junsu stops speaking for two reasons. The first is because he sounds stunned and too much like a teen girl. The second is because the boy playfully rolls his eyes. He's heard it a thousand times.

"I've actually met him, you know. He's really cool" He digs out his phone and presses several buttons, bringing up a picture. Sure enough it's him and the famous Rain. "That's scary" Junsu laughs, doesn't mind that he sounds awed again because Rain could pass for the boy's father or even an older brother. He decides to keep it to himself that he thinks the younger boy is better looking than the famous idol besides him.

The speakers crackle to life and the train driver's apologetic voice broadcasts that the train will be stopping at the next station. The line crackled and the man continued, talking about bridges and cattle and neither really payed that much attention other than they had to get off at the next platform. Tickets would be refunded. Junho doesn't mind. He'd of been getting off two stops after that anyways but Junsu would have to wait for the next train because he was still almost an hour away from home.

They reach the platform and the boy encircles his fingers around Junsu's wrist, burns his flesh with an invisible brand as though he's put a burning handcuff to his wrist. Junsu will look at his wrist hours later while the skin still tingles but there will be nothing there, no mark to show the impression the boy has left on him.

He loses himself to that thought, doesn't realise he's spaced out until he hears a strange, muted bark and the boy snaps his phone shut and they're outside. The cold air bites his nose and he tugs at his scarf with his free hand. He glances around and the boy lets go of his wrist to dig his hands into his pockets. Junsu doesn't know where he is.

"Come on, You're walking me home"

The boy gestures with his head for Junsu to follow him as he starts moving and he follows blindly because the next train won't be for another hour so he might as well waste a little time.

"My friend is a taxi driver and he owes me a favour so he's going to pick you up from my apartment"

The boy smiles, wide and toothy before he starts pointing out various buildings in the neighbourhood. They fall into step, Junsu listening contently as the boy rambles on about which places have the best dishes and which ones he should avoid. There's several buildings he points out solely for the beauty of their architecture, the beauty of their gardens or shops he likes just because of the way they've been decorated by the owners.

Twenty minutes later they stop outside a large building that looks a little old and run down. Junho smiles fondly and Junsu watches curiously as he carefully touches the iron-gate at the door. The boy sighs and turns back and carries on.

"It's a dance school. I used to go there when I was younger"

He smiles wistfully and they begin walking again, slower than before. Junsu opens his mouth, intent on asking a question because he'd wondered on their first meeting if the boy was a dancer but he's cut off by a horn.

They both jump and turn to see a cab pulling up just infront of them. The boy breaks out into a grin and nods Junsu along as the driver's window winds down and a dark skinned man with large teeth pokes his head out the window.

"Ock Taecyeon at your service"

The man laughs, deep and booming as Junho rolls his eyes, moving closer. Junsu can't quite place the strange lilt to his accent and vaguely summarises that the man's teeth make him resemble a rat when he pulls his lips over his gums to smile. Time slows for a moment and Junsu notices the other boy leaning into the taxi. His chest tightens, heart beats too fast and he can't control his face fast enough as the boy who's captured his attention presses a chaste kiss to the driver's cheek. Time speeds up as the younger male begins to straighten and Junsu feels nausiated as the driver's hand fists around the boy's shirt.

"YAH! What are you doing?!?" Taecyeon shoves Junho away from the car and the boy laughs a little too loud as he tries to catch himself. Junsu reaches out, manages to steady him before the boy lands on his butt and Junho grins up at him. Junsu's reminded for a moment of his cousin's 4 year old son on christmas day.

"What has everyone been eating today? First Chansung, now you. You better not try it with your new friend or you'll scare him away"

Teacyeon grumbles for a moment as he scrubs at his cheek with his sleeve. Junsu feels his heeks flush and pulls at his scarf. Running away would be the last thing he'd do. He notices the other boy staring at him from the corner of his eye and his blush deepens as the dark haired boy winks at him.

"He probably mistook you for a mango, I mean aigo, just look at your shirt" Junho gestured towards the driver's shirt and the man yelped, clutching at the material and bringing it closer to his face. Junsu wondered if he had any more monstrosities like that in his wardrobe. He supposed he would have.

Junho moves to open the car door and turns back to Junsu with a regretful look. Junsu returns it for a moment and tries to smile, aware that it's only half hearted as he moves closer.

"Hold on a minute" The boy grins, grabbing Junsu's shoulder to stop him and pulls him around so they are facing each other, the car door between them. Junsu isn't sure what to expect, feels the flush travelling up his neck and his stomach tightens again. The boy reaches his hands to his own head and within moments he's pulling his knitted green hat over Junsu's brown hair. He chuckles and pulls it securely over Junsu's ears. His fingertips ghost over Junsu's heated cheeks and his heart gives a thunderous beat, again trying to burst through his ribcage. The boy adjusts his scarf, smoothes it out across his jaw and pulls it a little tighter so it sits just below his lip.

"Cute" The boy's hands linger for a moment on his scarf and he pulls away, rests his hand against the car door as Junsu tries to think of something to say. He feels every part the awkward teen again because this is the second time he's met this young man and once again they're parting and he's near speechless.

"But how will I ... I don't even know your name"

The boy's laughter cuts him off and Junsu cocks his head slightly whils the other merely shakes his and gestures for Junsu to get into the car. He steps closer, puts one leg in but stops and keeps his eyes on the mysterious boy.

"Don't worry, next time" The words make his heart leap because the way the boy says them makes it sound like a promise, dead set and certain. The boy smiles again, blinding and sunshine and Junsu can only nod as one hand is placed on his shoulder and he gently pushed into the car. Junsu watches as the door closes behind him and the boy bends, waving enthusiastically and smiling like the sun.

In the front seat Taecyeon grumbles something along the lines of 'idiot' as he starts the engine. Outside the boy chuckles in response and sticks up a finger with a few names of his own before waving again to Junsu and straightening. Junsu turns to watch out the back window as they pull away, only to catch Taecyeon watching him through the rear mirror. For a moment he's tempted to ask Taecyeon what the boy's name is but then he touches the hat on his head and stops himself. No, next time he'll ask.

----

Later that night, Junho receives a phone call from Taecyeon, offering to let him know the boy's address. Of course it comes with a fee and Taecyeon won't say it aloud but he wants a date setting up with Chansung who is too blind to realise that Taecyeon likes him.

Junho decides not to tell Taecyeon he's equally as blind and that Chansung likes him back just as much. Instead he simply turns down Taecyeon's offer.

"It's alright, I'll get it from him next time"
