That sounds horrible. The end of pregnancy is so crappy anyway, but after all the stress of this pregnancy I can't blame you a bit for desiring an induction. Hang in there!

After my last induction (which was emergent because of my preeclampsia last time) I have always warned people off them... because it sucked a lot. But I can't say I want to live with preeclampsia for another day, let alone for another week at this point.

You know, these are the cases where I can see it making sense, even if it isn't ideal. And I'm just thrilled she got to full term. That has to be a comfort. I hope things settle down instantly and you just get to enjoy the new baby thing.

I am reading and listening. Soon. :) And I am hoping for a healthy mom and baby girl.

Thank you... I feel like you're a little guardian on my shoulder peeking in on me. I know we'll be healthy eventually. And the pictures will be plentiful.

It's so interesting that your doctors know you are feeling awful and are having such high bp and they aren't pushing for an immediate induction or c/s. In my own experience you woulda had that baby a week ago!

Keeping venting, I'm listening! I just wish there was something I could do for you!

The practice is the hospital staff for a relatively large teaching hospital... which you might think would lead to more interventions, but in the end, it leads to more knowledge of the latest research and a focus on evidence based medicine. And probably a certain increased comfort with somewhat more risky pregnancies.

At this point, I have mixed feelings. He doesn't want to induce before 39 weeks unless absolutely necessary, because of the latest research about long term implications in lung development, and I'm TOTALLY on board with that. But I also REALLY love my brain working properly and don't want bp issues to bother the wee one.

Thanks for the ears (everyone!) I feel a little less frustrated right now (and a little less swollen, ha!)
