I loved this. Yes, it must seem a little odd to the person on the street what Brucie sees in rumpled Clark Kent: not knowing what lies behind those two disguises. The first speaker is just catty, wanting to tear down. The second speaker is me! Well, not exactly, but I'd like to think I'd see past the sensational aspects and appreciate what's there: it's love.

PS - I then went and read the older stories of the series: awesome!!! Sorry I missed them first time round.

And did you see the reaction Paolo got when he hit on Brucie in front of Kent? Clark just looked embarrassed, but Brucie was about to deck him.

Aww. I find this the most wonderfully revealing little detail. It says so much about Clark's faith in Bruce and Bruce's love for Clark. The image of them making out under the oak tree is just wonderful! I love third-person views of couples, especially when they're clueless, and this was such an interesting look at them...
