SHIROTA JUN and family MAJOR PIMP POST
Here I come with a major Shirota Family Pimp Post. XD
I may not be their biggest fan, but I've followed their carreers for 4 years now so I like to claim the right to be called a Shirotard X3
Let me introduce the Shirota family:
↓ This one on the left is Shirota Mitsuo, his children call him "Mikkun" :3
He works at Nihon Terebi as a screenwriter. He's a great cook :3
This lady in the middle ↓ is Shirota Pepi.
She's Spanish. She loves her family deeply. She's a great cook too. She sometimes helps in her daughter's clothes shop.
↓ This lady on the left is Shirota Maria.
Elder Sister. She owns a boutique in Oogikubo, called "LINA".
The shop imports clothes from Spain and Los Angeles, but it has also an Original Collection that Maria designs and makes by herself.
The most popular item is very familiar, I believe. :3
This guy in the middle is Shirota Daisuke. ↓ Nickname: Chandai.
I don't know much about him, except that he's considered a dork by both his little brothers (and that is to say something!) and that he works in a Gym.

Being the younger sister, she's doted on a lot by all of her brothers (including Yamapi and Jin, both of whom she considers as such)
Yuu and Jin are particularly over-protective of her. (Famous is last Valentines' You&Jin MC, when Jin explained how she gave him chocolate, but when he asked "Does this mean you really like me?" she plainly said "No, the one I like is Kenta-kun." and Jin moped for a whole day "I've been here for you for the past 10 years, I've seen you growing up, WHO THE HELL IS KENTA-KUN??")
Whenever she says things like "I want to be in a drama", Yuu frets while Jun happily cheers.
You are all very familiar with her, but maybe a few noticed: she's the girl with Jin in the 09/10 calendar.

- He's always been a cheerful kid LOL.
- His nickname since childhood is "Junbo" :3
- His signature sign is the Junbo Peace, which is basically just a change in fingers.
- He has an obsession for nail art, but he only ever paints the Junbo Peace fingers XD He regularly goes to nail salons and his collection of Junbo nails is, like, impossible to keep track of LOL

- Jun started his career as a model when he was only 16, and he continued modelling for clothes, jewelry, underwear, nails and whatnot. He regularly models for some magazines, like POPEYE and BLENDA, and works on runways like Shibuya Girls Collection and Girls Awards.
- He loves surfing and cycling. He alternates the two, but he tries keeping a regular weekend schedule for both.
- He loves travelling. He's been back in Spain many times, visiting his relatives or going on trips on the road with Yuu and Jin
He often disappears from his blog for a few days and then you learn he's been somewhere in Japan. He disappeared for a whole week once and it turned out he was in Indonesia.
- Not many know this, but he's been in a drama called "Fuuma no Koujiro". It was a low-budget drama about two ninja families at war and Jun played one of the ninjas in the evil family, the judo expert, but when it came his turn to fight his opponent, they both decided that fighting was pointless since they were at the same power level and they respected each other as opponents; then again their families forced them to fight and they ended up killing each other at the same time. (I'm telling you this to save you the bother, that drama really sucked orz)
Anyway, all the cast was pretty close (and they were all dorks) and they kept contact even after years :3
- He's an emoji man and he reportedly abuses them in mails. Also in his blog sometimes so damn cute
- He worries like a woman. Seriously.
- Every Halloween he and his friends come up with the strangest costumes and he holds a contest on his blog asking exactly what are they dressed as. (The first one was a "MiffyxDachshund" costume, the second one I still need to figure out)
- He and Yuu are very close. They hang out together the most and they like to give impromptu performances at friends' bars. Jun has always doted a lot on Yuu and he worries a lot for him, so much that he sat through Samurai High School (drama where Yuu played a high school boy that got bullied and beaten up a lot) always fidgeting, because of the urge to run to help his little brother.
- Every once in a while he writes long and meaningful entries on his blog, about life, people, bonds, family.
- He is a very positive person.
- He has two regular columns, one on the magazine "Green Mobility" (cycling magazine) titled "Mi camino" and one on the mobile site "Jitensha CLUB" titled "Mi manera".
- He is a designer. He created the brands janji and Buiby, working as designer, producer and sometimes model and salesman.
janji was created as a jewelry brand focused on men, but then expanded to clothing and accessory, while Buiby's target was mainly girls and women wear and jewelry.
I guess everyone is familiar with most of the janji collection, since almost every jewel and accessory Jin has sported was by janji. (Unfortunately janji's site cannot be accessed anymore and I can't show pictures of their collections)
The name "Buiby" has a cute story: when Jun was only one year old and his brother Yuu was born, Jun watched over his little brother a lot. He struggled to say "kawaii" (cute) but his babytongue only managed an inarticulated "buiibii". Without noticing "Buiby" became both Jun's only word for 'cute' and Yuu's nickname.
(little curiosity: Jin's brother Reio has worked in janji as a shop assistant for a while.)
- Jun announced his leaving the brands at the beginning of 2010, but the shop was to remain there, under the management of Aoki-san (the kindest shop assistant I've ever met). After a while Aoki-san passed the shop to a new manager.
With the beginning of 2011, though, Jun stepped in again with a complete revolution and both janji and Buiby ceased to exist, to be replaced by the new shop "BARCO BLANCO".
- During high school he was very close to classmate Shiraishi Kei, who was the guitarist of a rock band. Four years after graduation, they met again and they decided to form a unit, "alma"

"alma" means "Soul" in Spanish.
They formed at the beginning of 2006 and they started off performing in live houses once in a while. Kei composed all the music and Jun composed the lyrics of their original material.
Jun is also the fashion designer, he designed and made/remade all of their clothes. (lol j/k not everything XD)
In December 2008 they signed with a major company, under the production of Jin Nakamura and they announced their first release at the beginning of 2009.

They held a lot of concerts throughout the year, especially at Shibuya eggman, and visited several Live Houses and Events in all the country.
On Christmas Eve 2009 they held their biggest concert, introducing a few of their newest works and announcing a new single release later in the year.
For the promotion of their third single, "~I~Arigatou" they went back to their old days promotion, in order to get closer to the fans, by performing and giving out flyers in the middle of Omotesando.

Different to usual Handshaking Events, people didn't need any special card to access the event and, well, obviously there was a lot of hugging going on. XD

In November 2010 Jun and Kei announced the disbanding of alma.
Jun explained that he couldn't handle all the different careers he was proceeding on and after having talked about it with Kei, they agreed to disband and focus their other careers.
Kei now works full-time with his rock band, they regularly hold concerts in Live Houses in Tokyo.
And that, I think, is all I have to say about Jun. :3
