Reasons to stay on Meds
My morning has gone thusly....Overslept. A lot. Got up, ate granola, checked email, had to go take a nap. Woke up an hour later....still haven't left the house. Midmorning beer followed by midmorning nap #2 is looking better and better. *sigh* Malaise anyone? -

While downloading arias via itunes, it occurs to me that maybe in order to be a successful Mezzo, I need to add a superfluous "y" to my name somewhere, a la Jessye Norman, Marilyn Horne, Denyce Graves....What do we think of Maggy Schwynkyr? :-D

I am exhausted. But happy. The cookout went just swimmingly. My house is cleaner than it's been in a long time. We have lots of leftovers in our fridge. All in all, a day well spent. Congrats, baby of mine! -
Late Night Cooking
It is 11:58. Not sure why I decided to start a new batch of Granola at 11:00, but I did. I've got probably another half an hour of Oven Time to go here before I can go to bed. I'm swinging up, folks. Sort of. Gardening therapy
I spent an hour tonight eviscerating my rosebush. It's amazing to me how fast it grows, and how soft-hearted I've been thus far this summer in taming it. It's just so green and vibrant and alive, I've been willing to restrict my own access to my own courtyard for the sake of letting it grow wild and huge. Serving
This summer is the first time I've ever worked as a waitress, and honestly, its not been that bad. On a good shift, when I'm making decent money and we aren't seriously weeded or anything, it can be sort of fun, even. I've had some really good shifts--nights where I walk out after a 4 or 5 hour shift with $90 something bucks and a smile on my face ( Read more... )
