I was walking home tonight, minding my own business not really paying attention to what is around me(as I usually don't while I walk) when I heard a rustling that caused me to look a few feet ahead of me. I am glad that I stopped, because this is what I saw(and i'm glad I always carry my camera around)

I have a friend who actually got SPRAYED by a skunk once.... and he's like terrified of them now. I guess it's not just the smell, but the spray burns your eyes....

Funny...yesterday morning at 6AM Olive almost got sprayed for the THIRD time this summer. I took her out and she immediately bolted for the back yard. I kept saying, "OLIVE! STOP!" (I didn't want to yell...it was early...but she only bolts like that when there's an animal to chase). Sure enough, half way across the yard I saw a tail go up. Fortunately she stopped about fifteen feet from the stupid thing.

I need to get some hunting tips for my bow...

Oh...and skunks? They're extremely vicious with claws and teeth. Especially because the claws are often filth encrusted and they usually cause nasty infections.
