Nice TV! I'd like to get a new one, one of these days, larger than the one I have. But it's still working fine, so no excuse. Darn. *g* I decided I'd live without satellite here, so I'm reliant on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. It works out fine for both current and old shows, at least for me.
Kodiak! Look at how big he is now! So, you're going to be a three-dog home? I've done that a few times. I loved calling them in the yard and having a whole herd come running. *g* But giving them all enough attention was harder--I only have two hands. *g*
Yikes about the family conversation. I'm glad you will all be there to discuss it. It's good that your sister is realizing that your mother needs more care than she can provide for her, and that your mother is possibly seeing that as well. Assisted living places can be terrific, just make sure to do your homework. (Sorry to sound so advice-prone...I can't help it on that issue. But I think it's wonderful you're all talking this out before a crisis.)
Yes, Kodiak is a big boy now. Yes, I will be a three dog home. Meggie is seven now, Kodiak almost two, and I was hoping to have a puppy by February, but now am looking at May. I've had three dogs in the house before, but not in a long time. And there were no puppies back then, as would be now.
Yikes is right. My sister is finally realizing that she cannot meet all the needs of our mother on her own. Mom could fall or become ill while my sister is at work and she would not know until she came home from work. We are doing our homework, since we are worried about the state of NY draining her finances dry.
Oh very nice! It's fun getting a new up-to-date telly, isn't it, even if it's also rather confusing and confuzzling and bizarre... I had my new one so briefly before I moved house that I'm going to have to start learning it all over again - and I'm going to need a new stand for it too, I guess! Erk for the dvd cable... you know, if you're buying a new one of those anyway, maybe you should just go bluray. I hear there's Pros out in bluray, with fab new pics and all... *vbg*
It has been nice, watching the new TV. So much bigger and brighter than the poor old tv. I took the old one to the waste station today. :( This new tv has so many features, I doubt I will ever master them all. I will probably buy a Blu-ray player, since I can still play my dvd's on it. I don't have any Blu-ray discs, but it looks like blu-ray is replacing dvd's. You hear that Pros is on Blu-ray now? I think I may have heard that as well...hmmm :p
