Dreams can be our psyche working through things, or telling us things we need to work on in the waking world, so bad things(tm) don't happen. Just take care of yourself, look at what you do, and how it affects others around you. If you find yourself lacking in the compassion/consideration department, and don't want to isolate yourself because of others taking offense to this, then strive to find ways to change your habits and attitude for the better. It'll take time, but when people see you working on it, they'll respect that you're making the attempt and genuinely give you the chance to do so rather than just turning away
