[Challenge][Y][FF] Summary: Every night he relives the same dream, every morning he's left with the same yearning, waiting for the day it finally becomes a reality.

***
He was out of breath; his brain was screaming for oxygen and his mind was running all over the place, but his hand... his hands were preoccupied and didn't have time to listen to his commands.

As he looked into those smoldering eyes and parted smile, he pulled him back to ravage those very lips. He was giving in to every desire, no longer resisting what he knew he wanted as he tightened his hold.

He heard those gasps for breath and felt his heated touch.

Unfortunately it wasn't real.

At least not yet.

Donghae forcibly opened his eyes as he looked at the ceiling before him, breaking free from the hold his dreams had kept him. They were becoming clearer, more vivid every night, and every morning he would wake with the same disappointment that it was wasn't yet real.

He wanted to meet this person that frequented his dreams.

He sighed as he got ready for the day, putting on his clothes as he brushed the hair out of his eyes. He looked out his window at the pouring rain and stepped towards it. His exhale leading to visible breath on the cold window, he reached and traced his finger a crescent moon on it.

He wasn't sure why he drew that symbol, maybe it had occurred in his dream, maybe a clue to finding him. He wished that his visions would stop teasing his desires, impatiently waiting for the day they would meet.

Was he clairvoyant? He wasn't sure of the specifics, but knew that somehow the more vivid his dreams, the higher the likelihood it would occur. Each of his repeating dreams had come true in some way, his vision that would somehow play out without fail.

He walked out of his house and onto the streets, not bothering with an umbrella as he let the light rain drizzle on him.

He cared deeply for this person as he recalled the dream, eventually he would at least. And that person in turn felt the same for him, he'd accept him wholeheartedly, his abilities included.

If only he was able to remember his face, he knew he had seen it clearly. But each morning he woke up, his face would somehow be blocked from his memory. Leaving him to wonder when he'll see this person, wondering if maybe he'll walk by him and not noticed.

The rain became slightly heavier but he didn't mind, his mind felt clear as he walked beneath the gray skies. He hummed to himself a slight tune as he kicked the puddles of water on the ground, his eyes eventually looking up to see someone else standing a distance away.

He tilted his head at the figure who simply stood there without moving at all. Donghae gave a puzzled look, wondering briefly why he was doing it, did he love the rain as much as himself? Or was he simply lost in thought?

He hoped he could answer his questions, he stepped towards him until he appeared by his side. He leaned in to meet his eyes but wasn't able to look into them as they were covered by his now drenched hair. The hoodie of his sweater barely hanging on.

"You like the rain?" Donghae asked casually, the figure's expression showed that he heard his question, but he chose not to respond. Donghae looked up at the sky, closing his eyes briefly. "It's refreshing."

The figure walked past him, Donghae tilted his head and followed him. The figure noted this and stopped in tracks, barely turning around. He asked, "What do you want?"

Nothing, Donghae thought honestly. He was simply curious, but he was hesitant to answer out loud, plenty of people disliked his rather childish answers. Donghae merely shrugged instead.

The figure turned away and continued walking, Donghae couldn't help but follow him despite his clear annoyance. The figure stopped every few minutes to look behind him, Donghae not once relenting. They walked plenty of blocks when the figure stopped and turned around.

"Why do you keep following me?" He asked lowly.

Donghae blinked, aware of his subtle anger. "I want to know." He answered.

"Know what?"

"Want to know why you're walking without an umbrella." The figure seemed puzzled by his statement.

"That's it?" Donghae nodded. The figure shook his head. "Can't a person just want to walk in the rain without one?"

"I guess." Donghae replied. "But you're upset, you want to clear your head because something is bothering you, I know those are your motives."

Maybe he had been too insightful, but his abilities had often gotten the best of him. Making him say things so directly, often causing people to avoid him because of his often truthful but unneeded statements. He wondered if the person would be just as upset at his words as others.

The figure instead looked down, kicking the ground as he inhaled. "You're straightforward." He commented.

Donghae nodded. "It's one of my worst traits I've heard, that and my persistence."

The young man continued walking as he corrected. "They're not horrible traits." Donghae continued to hum absentmindedly as he walked alongside him, the rain becoming heavier.

He heard the person sneeze and immediately looked around for shelter. Noting the bus stop nearby, he pulled his unwilling stranger beneath it, the rain no longer falling on them. His hand was still on his wrist, he hadn't noticed until the stranger pulled it away, he sighed as he looked out at the wet pavement before them.

Donghae couldn't resist asking. "Why are you upset?"

"Do you honestly care my exact reason why?"

"Yes." Donghae smiled innocently.

The stranger was hesitant and disbelieving of his reply. "A stranger asks me my reason but no one I actually know bothers to. Would that be considered irony?" He asked himself.

"Just maybe." Donghae answered. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

Donghae waited as he swayed back and forth, waiting until the figure gradually spoke. "I thought he cared about me, that he worried about me, instead he just thought of me as someone to have fun with. Not to ever commit to." He took a deep breath, his chest expanded slightly. "What's worse is that he didn't tell me directly, instead he assumed I knew all along. Never once being direct with me."

Donghae shook his head. "The guy is a jerk."

He chuckled. "He is." His laugh became a bit more profound, as if the hold on him had released just slightly.

Donghae found that he liked his laugh.

The silence ensued between them when the rain began to falter, the skies still a dark gray.

The figure outstretched his hand as the dwindling rain fell. Donghae frowned at the sight, he didn't want the rain to stop.

"Time to head back home." He murmured.

Donghae's frown deepened. "Will you be okay?"

"I'll be fine now." He assured. His hoodie falling off his head completely as he moved, Donghae noted his earring, dangling beneath was a crescent moon.

Donghae froze, the stranger moved his hair from his eyes as he faced him, a small smile on his lips.

His mind went into overdrive, the dream replaying itself in his mind. The eyes that would playfully look into his, the smile that he knew would be meant for him. The face his mind continually blocked out in his frustration, he was now able to see clearly.

He was vaguely aware of his lips moving, saying something.

"Thank you for hearing me out." He finished, stepping out of the bus stop when Donghae held his forearm.

"What's your name?" Donghae asked.

"Henry." He said simply as he noted Donghae's smile, confused by his actions and slowly pulled away his arm. "I'll see you around then... if we happen to meet again."

They will, Donghae wanted to say, but decided against saying it out loud. Not wanting to intimidate him with his abilities just yet, but in time he would accept him as he was. He waved as Henry walked back onto the pavement, his eyes unable to leave him until he eventually left his sight.

Donghae grinned in anticipation, running back onto the streets as he went home. He was beyond elated, awaiting when he would next meet him, when they would be more than just strangers to each other. When Henry's smiles wouldn't be so weak, when his thoughts wouldn't be of that other person.

That vision would come true, and knowing that he had finally met this person, he ran even faster, the puddles breaking beneath his hurried steps. The rain had fully cleared up, and finally that path to that future had as well.

---

Donghae opened the door and smiled at the resting figure in his bed. He jumped onto the bed and laid on top of the person grunting at the sudden weight.

"Why are you always so excited?" Henry asked as he tried to no avail to push him off.

Donghae scanned his eyes around, searching in the subtle darkness of the room until they rested on him. He moved up and nuzzled against his neck, even as Henry protested.

"I'm not in the mood." Henry turned on his side when Donghae met his eyes.

"Yes you are." He pressed his lips against his, Henry narrowed his eyes as Donghae chuckled. "You will be."

"Don't be so optimistic." Henry warned lowly.

Donghae moved himself till they were within millimeters within one another. Placing his arms around him and pulling him closer, giving a knowing smile.

It had now been two years since they had first met, Henry's past love had long since faded away from his thoughts. In those two years, he had met up with him often until Henry's barriers lowered. Eventually accepting his differences as well when he had explained them, as he had known...hoped would happen.

Because even with his abilities, Henry was still too unpredictable, often changing the course. He was glad though that this future hadn't changed, he wanted this more than anything.

"I'm not in the mood." Henry said stubbornly, Donghae merely smiled as he kissed him again, knowing his resolve was dwindling and he was giving in. As he pulled back and waited, Henry leered, his eyes lightened and relaxed.

He gave a small smile, Donghae took that as his signal to act on what he wanted. He ravaged his lips as he gave in to his own desires. Never once resisting against what he knew he had always wanted, the gasps for breath and his touch encouraging it further.

His intent was clear, he'd encourage other memories to spur from that recurring vision, willingly fulfilling every detail of it, committed to make each one become a reality.
