Hi, flist, and hello newcomers!

Nice to see so many new folks here! I'm delighted! Thought I'd post a little meme sort of thing to say hello, both to veteran friends who rarely hear from me, and to new friends as a sort of welcome wagon. I saw this idea on an old thread at God Awful Fan Fiction, and it rather tickled my sense of whimsy.

Remus bites his lips often, and this nervousness often rubs off onto those around him.

Sirius is often orating, like a pirate: preferably on a table with a hog and a bunch of grapes with a flagon in hand.

Remus has redder hair than canon would indicate.

Most of all, I suppose Remus is always an alcoholic, and uses it to either elevate his mood artificially or to hide himself from people.

That's interesting, Remus being an alcoholic, or at least self-medicating w/ the stuff. Unique. Most fanon has it that Sirius is the one who drinks, and that Remus' Weird Werewolf Constitution makes him unaffected by alcohol. Nice change of pace there.

My favorite is the levitating during sex! I love that! :)

As for me, well, when wanking, Sirius uses his sock(s) to avoid mess. *g*

Sirius also has a silly daft side that few get to see.

And Remus, while he enjoys reading very much, is also a bit of a sneaky bastard and a total prankster along with the rest of them. (He just disapproves of the bullying bits). And he's also quite the *ahem* animal in the sack (Sirius has that effect on him *g*) with a distinct potty mouth when angry that only his three friends are privy to.

I do love the idea of Sirius being a total "Black" when he first got to school and being rather shocked with his sorting.

Really, I don't generally write my stories to be read in the same "universe", but I'm sure I'll come up with some more quirks that will pop up in various stories.

Yes, but that's just fanon. Cho Chang is the only canon cumdump.

Alice was the one who told Remus that Sirius was sent To Azkaban. I've used that in different Universes, don't ask why. That, and she and Frank were tortured on November 2nd.

Sirius's Uncle Alphard was a werewolf. (My personal favorite, and I wish it would catch on.)

Sirius used to sneak out by climbing down an old apple tree.

and Scrabble. Sirius and Remus play Scrabble.

I'm also fond of the idea that James's Patronus is a duck, and Peter's is an elephant.

I would love to see James' Patronus as a duck! LLLLLL. Just imagine the abuse he'd take from his buddies!

And - something I didn't ask in the original post, but is an interesting question, now that you mention it. Now I wonder which fanon items we've all made up we'd like to see catch on, and which items we feel more territorial about? I feel sort of posessive over the levitation thing, for instance, but would love to see Sirius' birthmark make its way into fandom-wide canon. Any other items of your fanon you want to see catch on, or ones you definitely don't?

Sirius has an unusually large number of socks; proportionally, they outweigh all of his other clothes.

Remus is a brilliant flier (broomstick) but never played Quidditch because of you-know-what.

Remus loves the motorbike.

They both speak several foreign languages passably (which ones? depend on where I want to send them)

Sirius is very clean.

Remus is very messy.

And Remus and Sirius are both totally and unabashedly gay.

Whee!! That was fun. I haven't even though about HP in so long, it seems.

And - hmm - considering midnitemaraud_r's post, I'm beginning to wonder if Sirius has a sock fetish ...
