So, the shops in Akiba close at between 8 and 9pm.  This is all part of the annoying `Japan shuts at 12` thing.  What do you do when all the shops shut?  Naturally you look at porn and sex shops and they are in abudance in some places here in Tokyo.  Akiba would find itself far nearer the aniime porn side than the real stuff but it does have a ( Read more... )

It`s too hot to do anything in the morning these days, it seems the best time to start thinking of doing anything is about 5pm so I have been sorting through the more than 1500 photos and 100 vidoes I have taken so far and decided to upload some vids.

Nikko was lots of fun. Walked lots, got some good photos and some even better memories. For the first time in many, many years I got some sun burn. Not a huge deal but on the back of my neck so my tee/shirt runbs it and that annoys me. I even used suncream over my normal method of protection which is staying out of the sun ( Read more... )

saw some wild monkeys, ate some great grlled fish.

Went for Pizza Buffet yesterday, amoung the more normal pepperoni, ham and sweetcorn, 4 cheeses etc.. were some odd ones. Kimchi pizza was tasty, scrambled egg and bacon was a nice idea. Melon & chocolate was given a wide berth and despite really liking banana's I would not try the choco banana pizza either. I stayed away from the plum pasta too ( Read more... )

The soft drink market in Japan is huge, relatively cheap and a great way to get some fun things for more or less free. While the special coke (they are also doing fanta and sprite) bottle costs 250y (an extra 100y on top of the normal 500ml bottle but you only get 250ml) the extra you get for your money is well worth it ( Read more... )
