Yah, the exciting life of adults...:-) I was online last night while Ed and Joe we're discussing how much the government sucks. Rum and Diet makes one very nostalgic and generous feeling :-) Hence the diamond. That and we had Floyd playing, of course. How'd you know it was me? I was trying to be sneaky...
Your email was the giveaway. I'm sure there is a story behind your username.
Did they determine just how much the government sucks and how did they quantify that?
How's Joe?
If Ed really wants a bit of nostalgia have him go to the band website, find my bio and click on the # sign. That oughta take him back to the time when he was a bass player.
It is good to hear from you. Come and see the band some time and I'll buy you some rum and diets and we can all get nostalgic and generous together.
The username is witness to my geekiness. It's an X-men reference. Tex Ruffit is a nickname I got Up North because I like to wear a cowboy hat in the woods :-)
The government sucks because it's run by Democrats and the president doesn't have the testicles to stand up to them, at least that's what I got out of it. And "suck" is really nebulous, I don't think you can quantify that...
Joe's doing really good. After breaking his finger last year at work, he's finally decided to stop driving truck and is now working at a home for mentally challenged old folks. He's loving it.
Cherry Lane!!! I love that song. And BTW, Ed is still a bass player, he just has a very elite audience: his family :-) Right now he's working on a Molly Hatchet song and Alan Parsons.
Thought you guys were on hiatus? If you didn't play out in the sticks all the time, we might actually come see you :-) *hugs* Just teasing...
I just got word that Dave the bass player is going to stay on as long as we don't do the playing in the sticks every weekend grind. Limit of 2 gigs per month and we'll probably pass on the Manitowoc gigs because none of us like getting home at 4am.
Our next gig is the Lakefront Festival of Arts on June 16 from 2 to 4pm. Now that Dave has re-committed to the band I'm sure the calendar will fill up again. We still haven't heard about Bummerfest this year, none of the local bands have. I'm fairly confident we'll get the usual lousy time slot and hate every fucking minute of it...but we'll still do it of course.
