Well everything is the same yet different. Recently I've been thinking about applying for MSG duty. Which is Embassy Duty for yall not in the know. It's 3 years total spending 1 year in a different country each year. It would be interesting and maybe it would help me get that next stripe it's pretty hard to pick up in my MOS right now. Happy Easter. I get to enjoy another holiday on the other side of the world away from my family and friends. Randomness seems to be a recurring deal here in Iraq. Uniform changes, glow belts or flash lights, just glow belts, boonie covers or no boonie. Well it's going on year 5 that I will not be able to go float the river, drink beer, hit on half nekkid women in Texas flag bikini's. I think I put undue pressure on myself and create stress that doesn't need to be created. Decisions I have to make and well the learning curve sucks, I have to know the answers or be able to find them quick. I did my prac app for my cdi stuff last night and wow what was supose to be a simple prop balance and only take about an hour had me working from 11 in the morning till 0600 the next morning. We spent 18 man hours total doing this job not including the waiting on pilots and crew chiefs to run the bird. And I still didn't have the warm and fuzzys ( Read more... )

Well another classic case of Bored Marine Syndrome stuck. Someone in the shop lined my ear muffs on my cranial with grease. Like dirty just off the airplane black cancer, and well I got it all over my ears and head. I got our SSgt though with the ole greasy hand to the face and intern we got another guy.
